A Couple One Liners
"The more gloss, the cheaper the product."
If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Even in Africa (or, especially in Africa). Everyone and their friend has a deal that will get you excess returns. Don’t buy it. I’ll take the hard road, please. 6-12 months of negotiation is not uncommon on our current deals.
Which leads me to...
"The more conflict, the greater the impact."
I don’t have a personal conclusion on this one yet, but as Emerging Ideas, we're aiming to launch 100 ideas into companies that impact over half a million people by 2025. So far it’s been highly conflicted and bumpy. Definitely not a walk in the park. Stay tuned for how it turns out, we’ll be sure to tell you all about it each step of the way.
