How To Become A Great...
“Everyone always asks me what camera I use, but greatness is about storytelling.”
(Chase Jarvis, professional photographer)
It’s easy to seek the best tool and perfect setup as the thing that will make you better. This thinking is a fallacy if you’re trying to use that tool to make you excellent.
Excellence isn’t about the thing or tool that you’re using—that comes later—it’s a mindset, an ethos, and an approach.
"If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right."
That’s more about the worldview, perspective, and culture behind what you’re doing and why you’re doing it, than it is about what you are doing specifically.
It’s easy to strive for a better whatever (phone, camera, computer, widget), but those things are much easier to obtain and present your craft with value if you’re already telling a bigger story and creating value out of your vision on life.
It’s a higher calling really.
